‘Equal Time’ for Wide Range of Views

‘Equal Time’ for Wide Range of Views

CNL2 offers “equal time” on a wide range of views on the important issues in island life.

To schedule an interview by CNL2 (for internet TV, internet radio, or text-only), write to Publisher Jeff Noedel at [email protected] or phone us at (360) 378-9810. We treat our studio as a “digital town square,” and we try to make it available free of charge on relatively short (but not necessarily instant) notice.

Our Publisher is also available for scheduled private off-the-record or “background” conversations. The Publisher is always ready to learn more about local issues, and welcomes calls and visits. We welcome visits to the CNL2 studio, but walk-in visits are not possible while we are streaming live internet television or radio, or recording, so it’s best to call ahead if you’d like to meet with The Publisher.

We encourage news tips and insiders’ insights, and we will hold a tipster’s identity in confidence when requested.

“Letters to the Editor,” signed by the author and author’s identity verified by CNL2, are also welcome, and may be edited by CNL2 for brevity.

To record a comment in your own voice that you intend to be aired publicly on CNL2 (in a time and location in the website we deem most appropriate), phone (360) 745-CNL2 (2652). Please state your name and phone number in your recording. We will verify callers who sound unfamiliar to us with a call back. We will identify your name in the recording playback, but we will edit out your phone number. Alternately, you can record a message on your own and email a .mp3 file to us. Recorded comments may be edited by CNL2 for brevity.

Also, comments on a specific CNL2 article, video, audio clip, or another viewer’s comment are welcome in a section provided at the bottom of each post. Please use your real name in setting up your account to comment. Comments are not published automatically; they are reviewed by the Publisher for their value in advancing constructive conversation. CNL2 aims to be neutral in its coverage, and invites a wide range of opinions on the subjects of the day.

Generally, CNL2 aims to promote accountability in public discourse. We believe in attributing content to its sources, so the audience can consider context and sources. Thus, CNL2 tends not to publish content from anonymous contributors or contributors using pseudonyms. We do honor confidentiality with important news tips.
