CNL2’s reporting of Friday night’s seven-hour ferry trip for Lopez children and minors started with a news tip from a regular viewer. We worked the story all weekend, and obviously it was a subject people want to know about.
Visits to CNL2 quickly shattered all our records. In one day, our monthly unique visitors went from 1,900 to 5,100. In the first article’s initial 12 hours online, it got 1,500 reads, many of them in Seattle.
