San Juan Island Library Levy Lid Lift Forum (Pro-lift side only)
A CNL2 VIDEO IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE
CNL2 intended to host a forum summarizing the pros and cons of the library levy lid lift on the Aug. 6 ballot. Only the “pro” side chose to participate. CNL2 is devoted to staying fair and neutral on political issues and creating access to our audience for competing groups around important issues.
The three questions proposed for both groups to answer were:
- What is the role of the library in the community?
- Does the levy lid lift directly or indirectly support the new building?
- How can the Library provide a constant level of service when by law, revenue can only increase 1% per year and costs rise faster?
Each answer was limited to a maximum of five minutes. The host was not allowed to comment on answers or ask additional questions.
