Gov. Ferguson warns Democratic legislature they aren’t close yet to a budget he will sign

Washington Governor Bob Ferguson weighed in on legislative Democrats’ budget plans this afternoon.

Throwing water on key proposals to bring in more money to close a multi-billion-dollar projected deficit.

Ferguson objected to a proposed wealth tax, which he called “untested” in the courts. And he raised concerns about Democrats’ idea to tap into the state reserve fund.

Murrow News Fellow Albert James shows us the Governor saying one of the proposed taxes isn’t going to earn his signature.
