A Message from Ed Andrews at Orcas Island Food Bank
Food is a universal language that connects us all. There is nothing more heartfelt than sharing a meal around the table with the ones that you love.
The Orcas Island Food Bank is participating in Give Orcas this spring. We are asking for $5,000 to fund a summer fiesta where we will conduct an in-person survey of our friends and neighbors in our Hispanic community. Their feedback will allow us to learn how to better serve them now and into the future as we transition into our much-needed larger space.
We will partner with Alimentando al Pueblo, a Burien-based Hispanic food bank, to help us plan and co-host the event.
