Ten days ago, Japan announced it is resuming the hunting and processing of Fin Whales. Japan has been commercially whaling since it left the International Whaling Commission in 2019.

In Japan, whale meat is sold in stores and in vending machines.

Japan is one of just three nations that still commercially hunt whales. Norway and Iceland are the others.
