The San Juans community has donated 68 percent of the maximum amount the Mary See Foundation will match.
The end-of-year giving is ensuring the efforts to build community television for the San Juans will continue into 2025.

We need more than $20,000 for 2025, but this is the most positive fund drive we’ve had this year. It’s very encouraging.
San Juan County is a smart county…a curious county. And a generous county. as an archipelago, the challenges we have are unique from every other county in Washington: electrical power, freshwater supply, affordable housing, oil spill risk, and dependence on WSF are just five of many issues that pose special challenges. Objective, capable television journalism can advance progress on all of these fronts.
And there are two other unique challenges that community television positively impacts:
- the ability of television to link together our nearly two dozen islands, and
- the ability of live-streaming events to involve seniors who are unable to attend in person.
