$1,602 new donations X2 = $3,718! $8,141 remains for matching
Tuesday, December 3, 2024
Community internet television and radio for the San Juans gained some strength in the past two days, as $1,602 more in donations have now arrived. That brings the recent total to $1,859. And the Mary See Foundation match has instantly turned that into $3,718!
The Mary See Foundation leaders took a strong stand in support of CNL2 Media and SanJuans.Today. They voted to match the next $10,000 in donations — turning $10,000 in donation into $20,000 for the San Juans’ only nonprofit television news venture.
Plus, for many folks, your donation will be tax-deductible, since CNL2 Media — operator of San.Juans.Today — has been an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) Washington non-profit corporation since June.
Your donation can be made through the San Juan Island Community Foundation — the gold standard of quality philanthropic administration.

SanJuans.Today live-televised events are making more events more accessible to our home-bound neighbors and far-away friends and family, too. Our live-stream of the Friday Harbor High School graduation ceremony drew 462 sessions from across San Juan Island and across the world (5 continents).
Time after time, our live televising of the County Council candidate debates and forums on all three islands served online audience 2X and 3X larger than the in-person audiences on all of the six forums we televised.
Our live televising of the November 16 “Fix Our Ferries” summit in Mukilteo allowed Laura Jo Severson to avoid four ferry sailings and watch the event live from her home. Our recording of that same event allowed Tom Starr — who was present in person — to listen to it again at home, and hear it better.
