DRONE SEASON IS HERE! $75 for One Drone Shot (Fees help support CNL2)
POST: Sunday, April 14, 2024
CNL2 skillfully operates many types of cameras: live studio television cameras, high-end digital SLR cameras, GoPro cameras, and drones. We love drones.
“Drone season” is here. From the lush green grasses, blooming flowers, and emerging leaves all through the summer and into the grandeur of fall colors, drone photography is at its zenith. Flying conditions are also superior.
We capture both still and video (moving) images with the drone. Drone movies are extremely cool.
So consider taking advantage of our Springtime Special: One drone shot (still or short video clip) of your property for $75, or three for $125. Conditions apply, read below.*
The sky’s the limit! But here are some thought starters for possible drone subjects:
- A new photo for your business or vacation rental website or social media gallery
- Images for real estate or construction purposes
- Agricultural purposes
- Garden plans, and later amazing garden images in bloom
- Insurance documentation
- Video greeting cards at your private events
- Photo or a video of your classic car, favorite old pickup truck, boat, or plane. (Cool video feature! Our drone can be programmed to track your slower-moving car or truck, moving in front, to the side, or behind your vehicle!)
*FINE PRINT: Assumes you are the owner of the property being imaged; if you are not, permission of the owner is required. Owner or authorized representative is required to be present at the time of image capture. Depends on favorable weather conditions. FAA geo restrictions may apply; we can research for them. Maximum session is 45 minutes for a single shot, or 90 minutes for three shots. Order is paid at time of reservation.
PREVIOUS POST: Hire CNL2’s ‘By The Book’ Drone Photo-Video Service – FAA Licensed, Totally Insured – Saturday, April 6, 2024
Owning a drone is just the beginning.
Well-executed shots on a high-quality drone can produce stunning still or moving images for your production.
But if you hire an unlicensed, uninsured drone operator, you could be assuming enormous risk.
CNL2’s “By The Book” Drone Services employs DJI’s flagship Mavic 3 Pro (5.1K) drone with a 4/3 CMOS 48 MP Hasselblad camera (f/2.8-f/11) (up to 120 fps) and a set of three cinema lenses (24 mm, 70 mm, and 166 mm). This camera also has built-in “Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing.” We bring multiple backup batteries (up to 43 minutes of flight time and up to 37 minutes max hovering time with each battery), and we write to a 512 Gig Micro SD card — the highest capacity card the camera will accept.
Our pilot is experienced in advanced techniques, such as:
- waypoint navigation (for smoother camera moves)
- intelligent flight modes (for safety, efficiency, and clean moves)
- photogrammetry (drone capture for 3D printing)
- agricultural applications
- real estate applications
- construction applications
- drone video for live television
Our pilot is FAA Part 107 “Remote Pilot”-licensed, and our pilot and drone are fully insured. (Ask to see the FAA license and the proof of insurance.) We fly using a team (FAA recommended), which includes the pilot and a visual observer. The team is connected by wireless audio communications.
We engage in thorough pre-production for each shoot, and we secure written permission(s) to fly on private property or restricted public property. We rigorously honor property boundaries and are mindful not to stray into others’ airspace.
Our fees are competitive. We are available to work in the following Washington counties:
- San Juan County
- Whatcom County
- Skagit County
- Island County
- Snohomish County
