Diane Craig going-away-party held Saturday in Eastsound

Diane Craig is headed to Michigan, where family lives and a dollar goes a little farther.

Diane has done tremendous work in preserving local journalism in the San Juans. She has served as reporter, sales rep, and office manager for the three Sound Publishing newspapers in the San Juans: The Islands’ Sounder (Orcas Island), the Journals of the San Juan Islands (San Juan Island), and the Islands’ Weekly (Lopez Island).

Colleen Smith Summers, publisher for the San Juans newspaper properties of Sound Publishing, shared well wishes for Diane in her next chapter.

Heather Spaulding is editor of the Journal of the San Juans. She said, “Diane has been an amazing asset to our newspapers. As a writer, she has provided thought-provoking content, not to mention keeping us on track as an ad rep circulation manager, and so much more.”
